Introduction to Outreach
RHOSEY- Rodney House Outreach Service for Early Years
Rodney House provides a valuable outreach service to families and settings of children aged 0-5 across the city.
Our service is part of a city wide initiative involving the Primary and High Specialist Support Schools and other Specialist provisions.
At Rodney House we have an outreach team made up of teachers and family workers.
The Rodney House Outreach for Settings outreach teachers' role is to work with practitioners from Early Years settings throughout Manchester in an outreach capacity, offering advice and support in their work with children who have been identified as having additional needs.
The Rodney House Outreach for Families team work with families who have a child aged between birth and five years old not in a setting who meets referral critieria.
Together we offer training to practitioners in Early Years settings in areas such as: Autism awareness, behaviour managment and communication skills.
The service is highly valued throughout the local authority as shown by the high demand for the service and the very positive evaluations of work already carried out.
