ONE EDUCATION TRAINING

The Legacy of Covid: Meeting Children’s Needs in the Early Years

Research shows that lockdown had a significant impact on
young children’s development.
In particular, it has impacted:
• language development
• social interactions and communication
• attention
• emotional regulation
• resilience
There has been a disproportionate impact on vulnerable children and
those with SEND. This session will help settings to support young
children and families at a time when referral services are experiencing
long waiting lists. We will explore strategies & resources that can used
by Early Years staff in their everyday work.
The session will be led by One Education Educational
Psychologists from the Social Communication Pathway (SCP) and
Early Years. It is open to all Early Years settings in Manchester.
